Since 1st October 2019, the government of New Zealand has exempted 60 eligible countries from tourist visa requirements to travel New Zealand for short stays up to 90 days. The citizens of Portugal can quickly obtain and apply an online NZeTA application form using their Smartphone, personal computer, or tablet from their home or office within 10 minutes. To avoid inaccuracy while applying the mentioned details are required to keep along with them. After obtaining an application fill the following information carefully-
- Personal details – Full name, date of birth, address, family details (if traveling with family)
- Passport details – Passport number, nationality, expiry date
- Health-related information – Intention of receiving medical treatment or consultation in New Zealand
- Travel plans – Hotels, dates of arrival and departure
- Security details – History of criminal convictions
- An email address to receive the approved eTA
After entering the following data in the online eTA application form and pay the application fee and associate tourist levy (IVL) using a debit or a credit card, the initial application is completed. In a few days, the NZeTA application would be processed and approved.
It takes only 10 minutes to apply the NZeTA form and paying the application fee and IVL fees. It takes 1 to 3 working days to respond from the government of New Zealand, so the travelers are required to apply the New Zealand eTA online form at least before departure prior to three days that it gets sufficient time for processing. When approved, the NZeTA will be sent in PDF format to the given email address. Travelers must have a print out of the approved New Zealand eTA together with the passport of eTA before traveling to New Zealand.
